Eye Books confirms moves to BookSource

Eye Books has announced that it will move to Glasgow-based distributor BookSource in March, replacing Ingram Publisher Services UK.

Founder Dan Hiscocks established Eye Books in 1995 to publish extraordinary stories of ordinary people, with an emphasis on travel. More recently it has diversified into fiction, under the imprint Lightning, as well as a broader range of non-fiction. Recent titles include Local by Alastair Humphreys, shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize 2024, and the Sunday Times-bestselling memoir Tough Crowd by Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan.

Dan said: “BookSource has built a reputation for its reliable infrastructure and committed team, making it the ideal distributor for Eye Books as we continue to increase our list and expand our titles across a wider range of genres. We appreciate BookSource’s ability to support the dynamic needs of independent publishers.”

Louise Morris, Customer Service Director at BookSource, commented, “I’m delighted to welcome Eye Books to BookSource. We have been closely monitoring their achievements and have admired their list for some time. We are proud to partner with them to help reach a wider audience and support their long-term strategy. We look forward to providing Eye Books with the same exceptional service that has made BookSource the natural choice for many independent publishers.”

Eye Books will launch several new titles in the next few months, including Words Fail Me, the debut novel by Frances McKendrick which comes with endorsements from Val McDermid and Ian Rankin, and Ocean, the long-awaited third novel by award-winning author and poet Polly Clark.

The Eye Books list will be distributed by BookSource from 1st March 2025. More information can be found here: www.booksource.net/eye-books.
