Customer Service Assistant
About the role
You will be the key contact for customers and will ensure their orders and queries are dealt with to their satisfaction and within an acceptable timescale. You will take ownership of all customer issues and liaise with other departments and external suppliers to see them through to completion.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Processing orders accurately and efficiently, following any specific instructions
· Answering customer queries and ensuring the customer is satisfied with the outcome
· Liaising with colleagues and external suppliers to resolve any queries or problems
· Ensuring complaints are handled professionally and to the customer’s satisfaction
· Checking there are no issues with the receipt of automated orders
· Opening customer accounts as and when required
· Raising invoices as and when required
· Running reports and cancelling backorders
What do you need to be successful?
· A strong Customer Service background
· Strong time management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
· Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
· Competent with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
· High levels of accuracy & attention to detail
· Ability to interpret and carry out instructions exactly as required
· Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
· Polite, professional & enthusiastic
· Self-motivated and thrive on both own initiative and as part of team
