BookSource, the Publishing Scotland distribution subsidiary, has announced the signing of yet another children’s books publisher. Maverick Arts Publishing has revealed that it too has appointed BookSource as its distribution partner, having previously been at Orca. The move completes a trifecta of significant new business for the Glasgow based business, and sees it build on its UK market share in the children’s books arena.

 

Launched in 2009 by Steve Bicknell, Maverick has over 300 titles across the formats of picture books, early readers, graphic reluctant readers, junior fiction and middle grade. Maverick Publishing Managing Editor, Kimara Nye, said: “We are excited to be moving our distribution to BookSource. Having been with our current distributor for almost 11 years this was a big decision for us, but BookSource made it easy. They ensured our onboarding was the smoothest it could be and their help and attention throughout the process has been amazing. We very much look forward to working with the BookSource team in getting our books to market and to their eventual readers.”
